Built and run by a veteran. For veterans.

Veteran Waypoints exists to turn a military service record - all the places, postings and operational tours that shape a career - into something that can be shared, watched, and treasured.
This isn't a faceless company building products about veterans. Veteran Waypoints is owned, designed and run by a 22-year British Army veteran who understands what a long military career means - and what it deserves to look like when it's told.
Daren Jay
British Army · 22 years' service
I served twenty-two years in the British Army. That career took me across Northern Ireland during The Troubles, peacekeeping in the former Yugoslavia, and operational tours in Afghanistan and Iraq - alongside postings, exercises and deployments in places most people outside the military will never see. I'm proud to have served in operational theatre alongside colleagues from the United States, Australia and across the Commonwealth - the bond forged between allied forces on operations is something only those who've worn the uniform truly understand.
When I finally stood down, what struck me most was how easily the detail of a long career can fade. Twenty-two years on a CV becomes a couple of lines. A lifetime of moves and missions gets forgotten - by the public, by employers, sometimes even by close family who only ever saw fragments of where you'd been.
I built Veteran Waypoints because that record deserves better. A service record isn't a list of dates. It's a story - drawn across continents, written in the place names and unit badges of an entire working life. Told properly, it's the kind of story that brings a family closer, that earns a quiet nod from a grandchild, that helps a veteran themselves crystallize what they actually did.
That's what every Veteran Waypoints journey is meant to do: dynamic, cinematic, ever-lasting. A perfect gift for the veteran in your life - a way to tell your own story, in your own words, on your own terms - or a lasting tribute that crystallizes the service of a veteran no longer with us, so that what they did, and where they did it, is never forgotten.
Capture and crystallize your own service in a way that families, grandchildren and friends can watch and share. A working lifetime, told the way it deserves.
A meaningful gift for the veteran in your life. Their entire career - postings, deployments, units - rendered as a cinematic tribute to keep, share, and pass on.
- Privacy
Service records are personal. Yours is encrypted at rest with AES-256, never shared, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Classified tours can be marked so the location stays off the globe entirely.
- Purpose
10% of every purchase goes to military charities - because doing the work means giving back to those still doing the harder work. We're currently in the process of formalising partnerships with veteran charities across the US, Australia and the UK, and once those agreements are in place we'll be proud to publicise the work of our chosen partners in each jurisdiction. In the meantime, Veteran Waypoints guarantees that 10% of all sales made prior to those agreements will be contributed in full once the partnerships are confirmed.
- People
Built by a veteran, for veterans and the families who want to honour them. Every design decision starts with: would I be comfortable putting this in front of a regimental association?
- Honesty
Every journey on Veteran Waypoints is published as submitted by its author. We do not authenticate service records, and we do not tolerate misrepresentation of service. Concerns about authenticity are treated seriously and investigated.
From Puckapunyal to Robertson Barracks, Kapooka to HMAS Stirling — every ADF posting has a story. Whether your veteran served in Vietnam, East Timor, Iraq, or Afghanistan, their service across the vast distances of the Indo-Pacific deserves to be mapped and remembered.
A meaningful gift for ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, or a Defence Force retirement.
We are currently working to establish partnerships with local veteran charities at the moment.
